Infrared satellite image of the north pole of Saturn, showing the huge persisting hexagonal cloud patterned formed by the planet’s polar jet stream. The sides of the hexagon are about 13,800 km long, greater than the diameter of the Earth. Imaged by the wide-angle camera onboard NASA’s Cassini spacecraft, on 23rd July 2013.
