Description

This photo taken of Jill Kennington in 1965 was shot by Duffy for Town Magazine.

This had initially been called ‘Man About Town’ but evolved and embraced the ‘Swinging Sixties’ into the shortened title of ‘Town’ bearing the strap line ‘women and various other bad habits’ The chauffeur was Willie Landels who went onto become the editor at Harpers & Queen. If you look closely you can see the shadow of Duffy in the door panel. This image was used as the cover shot in Duffy’s monograph ‘Duffy Photographer.’ Photo Duffy © Duffy Archive
