Description

View eastward across the Santa Maria crater on Mars. This panorama spans 125 compass degrees and was assembled from multiple images taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam) onboard the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. It was imaged between 18-19th December 2010, and has been false-coloured to emphasise the differences among materials in the rocks and soil. (Photo by Science Photo Library)
